About DWC

DWC Fabrication a division of Dick’s Welding & Contracting LTD. (DWC) is proud to be a family owned and operated business. DWCwas originally established in 1990 by Richard (Dick) Fairclough. Bringing a lifetime of experience in welding and oilfield construction. Dick built the company based on the core values that DWC still supports today. Since the retirement of Dick, Sole ownership and operation has been obtained by Ric Fairclough who has further developed services to serve Central Alberta's Oil and Gas Industry.


DWC  currently employs 30 full time employees, with a skill base that consists of project foremen, mechanics, journeyman welders, journeyman pipefitters, journeyman boom truck operators, labourers, equipment operators, in addition to a safety coordinators.  All DWCemployees are safety orientated and possess First Aid, H2S Alive, TDG, WHIMIS, Fall Protection, Global Level II Ground Disturbance and Confined Space Certification. 


As the Oil and Gas industry has continually strived for higher standards of safety, DWC maintains a current Health and Safety Program and has achieved their Certificate of Recognition since 1998.

Our conveniently located fabrication and maintenance shop is located in the Acheson Industrial Park, allowing DWC to meet the demands of our customers both locally and areas throughout North Central Alberta.
